Lanham Napier is the CEO of Rackspace Hosting Inc. and through this role is very proud of how passionately he boosts the company’s service culture which he believes drives its philosophy of “fanatical support.” He joined the firm in 2000 and very quickly figured out that its service culture and employees were crucial to the company’s success. Indeed he was behind efforts to develop Rackspace’s top class customer service model, known as Fanatical Support. Through this, he has turned the company into an internationally-known winning workplace being ranked by Fortune as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For. When the technical industry incurred its 2000 meltdown, it was Napier who helped it survive. When he joined, the company had less than 100 Rackers (employees); today it is a “service leader in cloud computing.”
